Maryport Bitter and Blues Festival 27th-29 July 2007

Now in its 9th year, this event is set in the delightful harbour town of Maryport, on the beautiful Solway Firth. With 2000 years of history and boasting Georgian building, a Roman Fort, and Victorian dockyards. Local industries have included coal mining, iron making, shipping and shipbuilding. The Main Stage for the Blues Festival is in a marquee on a green in the town's harbour area, near to the marina and on one side overlooking the town, and out over the Solway Firth on the other. The trail takes place, within walking distance from the green, in pubs and clubs around town. This years performers on the Main Stage include A Lesser Concern, Kitto (Australia), Tony Joe White, Geno Washington and The PurpleAces (USA), Hamilton Loomis (USA), Kyla Brox Band (UK), Matt Scholfield Band (UK), Dave Kelly and Paul Jones (UK), Honeyboy Edwards, Homesick James, Robert Lockwood Jnr (US), Paul Lamb and the Kingsnakes (UK), Two Timers (UK), Ian Siegal Band (UK), Chris Farlowe (UK), Eric Sardinas (US)

Trail includes : Blues House Coldshot,Funkydory, Hucklebuck, Gerry Jablonski, Greenmac, Jeff Chapman's RoosterLittle, Stevie and The Business, Lyndon Anderson Band, Little Big Dog, Marie McCormick, Memphis in the Meantime, Off the Hook, Olly Alcock, Red Spider, Robin Bibi, Roue 666, Sam Hare and Giles King, Sean Webster, Tantrum, The Roach Twins, The Stumble, Tin Pan Alley.
