Now in its 9th year, this event is set in the delightful harbour town of Maryport, on the beautiful Solway Firth. With 2000 years of history and boasting Georgian building, a Roman Fort, and Victorian dockyards. Local industries have included coal mining, iron making, shipping and shipbuilding. The Main Stage for the Blues Festival is in a marquee on a green in the town's harbour area, near to the marina and on one side overlooking the town, and out over the Solway Firth on the other. The trail takes place, within walking distance from the green, in pubs and clubs around town.
